Cross River Rail
Cross River Rail is a new rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills being some10.2 kilometre in length of which 5.9 kilometres consists of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and city centre. As part of the works four new underground stations will be established.
Scope
Veris were responsible for the following service delivery:
- Location and survey of subsurface services both within the existing rail corridor as well as private and public land along the proposed route.
- Spatial services using terrestrial laser scanning to enable creation of digital BIM deliverable.
Outcome
Veris were able to assist CRRDA by enabling delivery of digital subsurface service locational data in three dimensional digital models and integration of this with surface survey and laser scanned data to create a building information model (BIM) deliverable. This BIM then directly supporting design and visualisation initiatives as well as direct integration into the digital twin supporting the project. Terrestrial laser scanning of drainage manhole chambers provided proof of location to resolve as built data conflicts.
